Infection control and universal precautions are essential to protecting both our patients and our team. Our office strictly adheres to the infection control guidelines established by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our protocols include:

• Use of disinfectant hand soap
• Protective gloves and masks
• Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
• Sterilization of all instruments and equipment before each use
• Disposable, single-use materials whenever possible

We sterilize all reusable instruments, including dental handpieces, using an autoclave—a medical-grade device that eliminates bacteria and viruses through high-pressure steam and heat.
