Dental Bridges

When a tooth needs to be removed there are several choices for replacement. One is to replace using a dental bridge.

Dental bridges are a way of replacing a tooth with a fixed, non-removable solution. After a careful clinical examination and once the gap has fully formed, our dentist will very conservatively prepare the adjacent tooth and take all the necessary photographs to ensure a perfect shade match. After this first appointment, a temporary bridge will be fitted until the final bridge is prepared by the laboratory and fitted onto the adjacent tooth.

Our dentists generally place very minimally prepared bridges, which are made by putting crowns on the teeth at either side of the gap, and then joining these two crowns together by placing a false tooth in the space.
