Cosmetic Bonding
Modern dentistry allows us to restore and rebuild teeth with white fillings in a minimally invasive process called cosmetic dental bonding.
Dental bonding is considered a dental art, as it requires an in-depth knowledge of the layers, color, shape and characteristics of the front teeth. Sometimes dental bonding is performed after tooth whitening and/or dental orthodontics to improve the alignment and color of the front teeth.
Our dentist first creates a slightly roughened surface on the natural tooth for the composite material to bond to. A shade guide is used to ensure the correct color of composite is used before being bonded to and blended in with the surrounding natural tooth structure.
